Insert the new battery into the socket after the old one is removed. Make sure that the positive side is facing up and that it is placed in all of the clips. Replace the battery, then snap the fob.
Note: Older Volvos use a different battery, the CR2025. CR2025 batteries are 7 10ths of a millimeter smaller than a CR2032 battery, so you'll need to be careful with the placement of the replacement.
